  • Mediation & Facilitation – # of cases, success stories, trends, or new partnerships

  • Training & Events – recent or upcoming trainings, photos, or volunteer shout-outs

  • Community Engagement – outreach events, presentations, or collaborations

(Tip: keep each item to 3–4 sentences or 1 short paragraph.)

🧩 3. Volunteers in Action

Spotlight one or two volunteers or small teams:

  • A few sentences about who they are, what they contributed, and how it mattered

  • Include a quote or short “why I volunteer” story if available

(Example: “This month, we celebrate Cynthia for ensuring every donor received a handwritten thank-you note. Her reminder to slow down and show appreciation keeps our community connected.”)

🧠 4. Systems & Infrastructure Update

This is where you normalize and celebrate system-building work:

  • Update readers on behind-the-scenes progress (new forms, workflows, data improvements)

  • Invite help or ideas: “We’re building a sustainable volunteer system — want to help?”

(Example: “We’re piloting a new way to organize mediator reports in Google Drive. If you’re detail-oriented and like structure, this is a great project to join.”)

Use bullet points for clarity:

  • Volunteer needs (e.g., Data & Systems Volunteer, Event Assistant)

  • Events/trainings with dates and links

  • Community meetings or Lunch & Learns

💬 6. Quick Notes & Reminders

A short, easy-to-scan list:

  • Deadlines, forms, or new procedures

  • “Did you know?” tips (like how to submit reports or use QR codes)
