Build Skills to Mediate Conflict, Support Dialogue, and Foster Resolution

The Foundations of Mediation is a 40-hour, in-person course that teaches the principles and practice of facilitative mediation—a structured, communication-focused approach used to help people find common ground.
 

Through live roleplays, small-group exercises, and real-world case simulations, participants develop tools to manage conflict with confidence and empathy.

Upon completion, you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion and qualify to move forward into the CDRC Mentorship Program—your pathway to becoming a qualified CDRC mediator.

Graduates of the Foundations Training can apply to join the CDRC Mentorship Program, a guided practicum that includes: 4 Mediation Observations 4 Co-mediations with a Certified Mediator 4 Lead mediations with mentor support Completing the mentorship process qualifies you to mediate community, small-claims, and workplace cases in collaboration with the CDRC.
